Exhibiting an inspiring collection of regional, Native American, and Studio Glass art.

About us

Blue Rain Gallery represents established contemporary artists of diverse backgrounds working in a variety of mediums such as paintings, ceramics, bronze, glass, and jewelry. True to the gallery's roots, a portion of our aesthetic is devoted to contemporary Native American art with an emphasis on innovation. Infinite detail and superb quality is a common thread that links the work of our artists and continues to inspire and excite collectors. Today, the gallery is eclectic in its approach, yet maintains a special focus on regional, Native American, and Studio Glass art. Blue Rain Gallery was founded in 1993 in Taos, New Mexico by entrepreneur and artist Leroy Garcia. By 2003, the need to expand the business was apparent so Blue Rain Gallery opened in Santa Fe, NM. The gallery is now located in the Santa Fe Railyard with a second location in Durango, CO.

Tammy Garcia's "Transcendence" stands as a towering testament to the fusion of cultural heritage and artistic expression. Rising to a height of 86.5 inches, this monumental bronze sculpture commands attention. The central form of an eagle dancer, gracefully captured in intricate detail, is poised in a timeless dance of strength, grace, and spirit against a captivating backdrop of mesmerizing geometric designs.   As the eye traverses the sculpture's surface, it encounters a symphony of textures and patterns: meticulously crafted spirals, bold, angular motifs, and stylized sagebrush. Each element elicits veneration of the cherished rituals and symbolism they represent, collectively narrating a story of tradition and transcendence.   The sculpture exudes a sense of permanence and stability, anchoring the ethereal dance of the eagle dancer in the tangible world. From every angle, "Transcendence" invites contemplation, reverence, and reflection, urging viewers to soar beyond the mundane into realms of spiritual exaltation. #TAMMYGARCIA, Transcendence Monumental Bronze Sculpture with Patinas edition of 12, 86.5"h x 33"w x 15"d Call us for inquiries at 505.954.9902 #blueraingallery #nativeamericanart #eagledancer #monumentalbronze #indigenousart #contemporarynativeart #southwestart

Opening later this month... Z.Z. Wei, "Whispers of the Heartland" May 31 – June 14, 2024 — Santa Fe Artist Reception: Friday, May 31st from 5 - 7pm The rural expanse of America has molded Wei, shaping both his personal journey and artistic expression. It symbolizes a fresh beginning for him, intertwining his Chinese heritage and his experiences traversing America’s backroads. In his new series, “Whispers of the Heartland,” Wei reflects this fusion, blending his unique perspective with the essence of American landscapes. While heavily imbued with Americana, his imagery is abstract, layered with humor, loneliness, tranquility, and turmoil. They teeter on the brink of significance, inviting viewers to transcend the ordinary and immerse themselves in a timeless exploration of life’s complexities.
