Exciting News Alert! We're thrilled to announce the completion of the Axis Health Systems - Durango Integrated Healthcare project! Partnering with RTA Architects, we've transformed an 80,000 sf space into a state-of-the-art healthcare campus, now the first certified community behavioral health clinic in rural Southwest Colorado. This facility expands access to high-quality, cost-effective care services for all, with a special focus on underserved communities like Latinx individuals, the LGBTQI+ community, veterans and their families, and adults in need of substance use disorder treatment. Plus, with primary medical care, dental services (featuring 13 dental chairs!), and an on-site pharmacy, we're truly enhancing healthcare accessibility in our region.

Happy Earth Day from Nunn Construction! Today, we're celebrating by highlighting one of our sustainable building achievements: the LEED GOLD Addition & Renovations at Colorado State University - Pueblo's Occhiato Student Center. Nunn worked with our Design/Build partners at Hord Coplan Macht to re-imagine the 1970's era student center as a vibrant, tech-forward space that would inspire students to gather and connect with each other and the outdoors. Despite challenges, including working on a fully occupied campus on the multi-phase project, we managed to keep essential areas like the bookstore and cafeteria running smoothly during construction. We're thrilled to make a positive impact on our communities, today and every day. Happy Earth Day!

Exciting Update from Vista Ridge High School! Hey Vista Ridge fam! Big things are happening over here as we continue to make strides on the CTE addition! And guess what? We couldn't contain our excitement, so we headed down to the site to chat with some of our amazing project team members! Bre Sailas, our very own Project Engineer. When we asked her what she finds most rewarding about working on this project, she said, "The most rewarding part is the weekly OCA meeting and getting to walk with the owners and architects and to see how happy they are with the progress of the building." Next up, we caught up with Kenneth Curtis, our Superintendent. We wanted to know how he sees the construction industry evolving in the coming years and how it will impact our work. Here's what he had to say: "We have a lot more technology being used out here and have been taking advantage of it, for example, we have started utilizing a software called OpenSpace and it essentially allows us to take photos every couple seconds and records while we are taking walks on site, and we can go back and forth between images to see changes in an area. This is going to impact work by allowing us to be able to effectively back check areas on site and be more effective." We're thrilled to see the progress being made here at Vista Ridge High School, and we can't wait to share more updates with you all soon! We're thrilled to announce the ribbon cutting for Phase 1A, which drew nearly 100 community members to tour the expanded terminal for Durango - La Plata County Airport (DRO)! Phase 1A brought significant enhancements, including a new boarding gate, expanded seating areas, upgraded bathrooms, and post-security concession stands. We're eager to kick off the next phase with our partners Dibble and Mead & Hunt, and see these new amenities in action for our Southwest & Four Corners community!
