Adrian Diaz Jr exemplifying community power at #NPC24 in Minneapolis! 👏
🏙😎 After months of planning, it was an honor to host a mobile workshop along with other members of the APA Latinos and Planning Division at the American Planning Association National Planning Conference! During our workshop we were able to visit Minneapolis’ East Lake Street Cultural District and discuss the ways Latine and other cultures have revitalized neighborhoods into vibrant spaces. Progress is not always easy or quick, but community power and perseverance gets the job done! Thank you to the City of Minneapolis City Planner Adrienne Bockheim, AICP, Neighborhood Development Center, and Lake Street Council staff for speaking with our attendees about the resources and tools available to keep supporting small businesses, entrepreneurs, and our comunidad! Special shout out to our members! Vidal Marquez, Marco Hinojosa, AICP, Daniel Besinaiz, Daisy Marquez, AICP, Matthew Gomez, and Leonor Vanik #NPC24 #Minneapolis
